Do they make these from chocolate or are they purposely soft so that the discs last forever?

You're braking to heavily!

Youre not wrong; They are actually made from sintered chocolate.
May also contain a trace of nuts.
Caution: Young motorcyclists can choke on nuts

Brembo chocolate changed for EBC sintered pads today. New pads are an immediate improvement over the old ones - even before bedding in period is up. Of course, I'll now be using a set of discs every 5000 miles instead....
Mechanic reckons that Brembo pads are the reason for the awful brake fade as well but I still fancy putting in braided hoses. Can't seem to make the front wheel "chirp" no matter how hard I brake. (Different matter with the rear brake - Locksville!) Anyone upgraded the brakes on the Capo?

Were your rear brakes that sensitive with the OEM pads? I don't think I could lock my rear brakes if I stood on them.

After the first lock-up I've been pretty gentle with the rear. Nearly ploughed into the back of a car in London - back wheel tried to come round to meet the front.
At first I thought the rear brake was useless as it didn't seem to work at all but now I'm just plain nervous of using it for hard breaking except when two-up with full luggage.

When I use the rear brake, I feel more dragging than braking. I would like a little more bite back there, but if I have to choose between too much or too little I will stick with what I have.

My front locks wicked, the backs too soft for my liking. Must be to do with the setup. I'm also still on my first set of pads after 9k miles, maybe I'm just a big softy

I guess I just miss riding a superbike....
