Just to let you know that you don't require a VIN number, i don't have an aprilia yet!!!

when you follow the link through aprilia's site it asked for it, I thought it was required but I guess not. Oh well. It says it's compulsory. I might have been thinking of myaprilia.com or something.

Possible if you put down aprilia owned then the VIN req'd. I got email back from apriliatester with my registration code for access. Not been on since but should't see a problem.
