Hi Falco people,
So - I have my blue OZ RSV R wheels (maybe with some sticky new tyres) & my Renegade carbon ovals all ready to fit & then along came an offer of a Mille swing arm to tart up the back end yet further
However my seller doesn't know what model year the swing arm is. Just wondered if it makes any difference? If so is there an ideal Mille year for my '01 Falco?

The swingarms are all the same from the Milles

Just having gone through this, I'll say that the swingarms are all the same. If you're curious, it should have a date of manufacture engraved on the bottom (at least mine did).
There was a change in shocks and suspension linkage on the Milles between the 00 and 01 model years, though. If you're using your stock Falco shock and linkage you should be okay.

Hooray - the swing arm is mine! Actually I appear to have bought a whole rear end including wheel, tyre, sprocket etc.
This now means I now have three rear wheels!
Better get my "stock list" organised & hit EBay.
Thanks for the advice guys...

Does anyone know if the Futura swing arm will bolt onto the Falco? That would be sweet!
By Tokas on Thursday, October 31, 2002 - 05:08 am: |
I have no clue. But look at this picture! It's a monoswing, allthough I dont know from which bike.
The rear rim looks like a Ducati one in my oppinion.?!?
But uggly paint, Huh?

Somebody's a bit of a Rossi fan, I think.
It may be a Futura swinger, but you can't see enough in the picture to be sure. I've heard that they'll fit, but I've never actually seen it done.

Yikes!
Someone shoot that painter!
The rest looks interesting tho.

If he's that big of a fan, you'd think he'd go the distance and buy a Honda! It would have been cheaper!!!

Sorry Boy's got to disagree, it looks fantastic (but I am a huge Rossi fan), Even without the paint you got to admit it looks special, wonder what it handles like though?

Looks awesome! Certainly a head turner at any rate! Don't like the three spoke rear wheel though.... yuk

No Sorry... That looks f*cking s*it!
I agree Bef... that painter.. and the person that requested it.
Oh course each to their own!

Its not a very smart painter , he DID forget the frontwheel!
Most used single sided arm in streetfighterland is the H**** VFR one but this wheel looks very Triumph Daytona to me , Hammy?
Exhaust doesnt seem the fit very well but could be the view angle.
Oh yes, very ugly and a waste on money and time!
Sorry , cant hold it
Hansie

Looks like rsv taillights, might be plate holder brackets below spoiling the line of the can and the underside of the seat?
The headlights on the Falco imho are not the best looking, but above they've managed to make them look pig ugly!
Sure someone loves it though - Hey, Frenchie expression comming up - chaqu'un ca Merde!
oh yes, er,
By Tokas on Thursday, October 31, 2002 - 02:30 pm: |
I've never seen so much puking on any thread!
The paintjob deserves it though!

Its not a Daytona wheel. I reckon its a Dymag. The style kinda fits theirs, and I've seen them before, although I've also seen early 916's with them too!

Another much used mono arm is the H**** NVT (Revere) one.
Guess you missed that one at Wim's eh Hansie? I think it was behind the Ural R1150 GS somewhere.
Rsv taillights, yes! I spotted those as well, tho I first thought my mind was playing tricks on me. Wouldn't be the first time.
This bike's owner sure has some serious mental problems if you ask me. Rsv scooter-like tallights on a Falco? Rossi paintjob? H*nda swingarm? What else I wonder?
Takes all sorts I guess, but it's not my cup of tea.

Yeah, Bef, he probably dips his fries in Ketchup, too!

Don't you mean in vinegar?
By Oldgit on Friday, November 01, 2002 - 12:35 pm: |
Trick or treat
By Daz on Friday, November 01, 2002 - 12:41 pm: |
Is that one of Pikfee's famous belly pans on it? I can't tell with all those bloody flowers on it!!
Sort the wheels out, paint the seat unit to match and it'd get me back on a falco, yes sireeee!!!
By Racerxlilbro on Friday, November 01, 2002 - 02:32 pm: |
vinegar!
BLEH!
By Daz on Friday, November 01, 2002 - 02:44 pm: |
Vinegar is the drink of the gods!! Or is that guiness? Erm. Both maybe.
Anyway, the point is I drink the stuff on it's own because it's spanking gorgeous! Good old acetic acid is good for your bones! You want chips with your vinegar, love?!

No thanks then, I'd have no excuse eh!!
Daz
PS I don't really drink it.
By Racerxlilbro on Saturday, November 02, 2002 - 11:26 am: |
Daz,
Had me worried! ACK!
That crap is for douching, not drinking! ...Let alone putting it on perfectly good "chips!"
