I went to an Italian Bikes meeting during TT. I was the only Aprilia rider ther, the rest were all Ducatis and Guzzis. Felt a bit of an imposter really as nobody really seemed to consider the the Aprilia an "Italian" bike. I didn't feel I was a part of their scene. Must have something to do with the fact that it doesn't break down regularly or suffer particularly badly with poor build quality. I think it is battling against these factors that binds the Ducati and Guzzi riders together, not necessarily the fact that the bikes were made in the same country.

BTW, not in the UK - Isle of Man.
