Ok, this may sound like a stupid question, but I was always told there is no such thing as a stupid question I've got the Renegade airkit and filter, it's about time to clean the filter. However the problem is my airkit didn't come with any instructions, maintenance or installation. Which is also why I installed the airkit with the stock o-rings, which I since removed. Anyway how do I clean the filter, just wash it with water and mild detergent? Do I just let it air dry? Is there a special oil to use when re-oiling the filter? I've got some K&N filter oil, is that OK?

I think you've basically got it Twowheels. I don't know any specifics on the filter included wth the Rene kit, but foam filters I've had before have been washed with detergent and water or parts cleaner, re-oiled and bingo. I wonder if the filter comes apart a bit? If you can pull the metal lathe support out for cleaning and oiling?
Your K&N Oil will work great I bet.

I spoke with Jorge on this one and he recommended I use good 'ol paraffin to clean it and then get some foam filter oil to grease it up again.
