Well at last, after 20,500 miles something on the Falco has broken. I couldn't help having a quiet chuckle to discover it's one of the few Japanese made parts on the bike...namely an NGK spark plug cap. Nothing too serious but a pain in the arse when the bike is your only form of transport and Halfords is closing in 15 minutes.

Anyway, got it sorted (well, bodged) until I can get hold of a replacement plug cap.

Quite a few parts are Japanese...plug caps, coils & coil cables, even the ECU is the spitting image of the Yamaha GTS one - though it's not the same.
