Yeah, like you need to be told. Can't quote from the test cos I was reading my mate's copy, but the report should do Falco sales no harm at all. The world is definitely starting to wake up to one of the all time great bikes.

Read the report earlier this evening. I was expecting a lot more info from this article (been waiting for it for last 2 mths), ie: more indepth info on road and track etc. Still a fairly good write-up against the others though.

Hi Neil, to be honest I have found no problems getting parts, but I haven't needed many, side stand switch being the only part that failed, I waited a few days for that, then there were a few bits I broke, as for dealers, I have found 'On yer bike'good at getting parts reasonably quickly.
Servicing problems I had were typical of the garage/bike trade all over the uk. They are happy to treat servicing as a way of ripping you off, ie not doing what you pay them for, with most bikers doing small mileage they get away with it.

Shock! Performance Bikes test a top notch bike and don't slag it off!!! Say it aint so... They'll have me buying it next............NOT. Only mag worse is Fast bollox, that lot can't even look at a bike unless it does 180mph and can lap the TT in 18 minutes or less. moan, groan, etc... hung over...raining...

Too right. I only bought it for the Falco article. The rest of it, well, I will not be subscribing!

RiDER Power survey should be published in this months RiDE magazine. I am waiting for my copy in the post. The 30 or so miles of water between the IOM and the UK seem to take the post a couple of days to cross, so I expect everyone else will know before me whether our efforts to get the Falco in this year worked.

EH?...I could have sworn I read some posts in this forum stating that tinted shields werent available to anyone?? I am in the states by the way and I have contacted every possible source for a tinted windscreen in the US. I have also bugged the Aprilia folk and they shuffle their feet and mumble something about tinted windscreens being illegal...wankers!!!. Anyway do you know of a dealer that would be willing to do that??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bollux! (i think that's one of those euro words ) I was able to purchase the "alternate market" tinted screen from a dealer in Portland Or. The part number is 8139351. If your local dealer keeps telling you it's illegal, call Aprilia US and rat em out. Their number is 1-877-APRILIA. I can think of at least four other Falconeers who have also purchased one here in the states. I believe it's going for around $100 bucks. It's a light tint, but looks much better. HTH

Kevin's right, I ordered mine directly from my local aprilia dealer in SC. It's about $100 +/- and he got it in for me in about a week. Not as dark as I wanted but definitely a change for the better. Good luck!

Well I am glad I bitched about the windscreen to you guys...I called my Dealer... Scuderia West and told them the deal and gave them the number and holy Sh1te!! Hey whadaya know?
