Id expect very little difference apart from a lighter wallet!
Remember that the SP engine is a totally different beast to the cooking Mille engine. Its inlet dimensions/tune is likely to require quite different tuned tract lengths etc.
If the shorter stacks do anything for the normal engine Id guess that it may give a fraction more top end power at the expense of midrange. IMHO, this is the usual effect.

As far as I know the Mille SP has different bore & stroke and runs with single plug per cylinder heads. Can't imagine the new stacks would make a noticable difference. Could be wrong mind. Stranger things have happened. Sounds bloody pricey.

FYI though, a set is only $36 U.S. from evoluzione.net so the wallet concerns seem a bit overblown to me.
