Elbow down, thumbs up

A friend of mine ran out of ground clearance on his SP2...on the street!
Dragged the stock cans and ended up on his butt.
He's fine, not a scratch on him, and now that his bike is fixed up I'd like to torture him a little more:
where can I find that pix of a rider dragging his elbow and giving the thumbs up on the RSV?
(and what's the story behind that shot?)
Thanks

Look in the old threads gravy-yard under "RSV Owners Call out" (its at the bottom of the list)

I need therapy, but I think you already knew that!

Last thread in the graveyard, good thing that I gave up looking and asked.

Thanks, that's some memory you have........wasted but impressive none the less!

And for the record the picture of the guy on the Falco with his elbow down "allegedly" looks dodgy to me ! It is not a clear picture at all. I don't think he has his elbow down at all !

The SP2 guy is making excuses by saying it scrapped hard and made him fall off. Lets face it....He just fell off....plain and simple....no excuses! The scrapes you saw afterwards were simply from the fall.

Still a bummer for him and a bit of bastard luck, but it is a Honda afterall

Nah, he was also hanging out to boot but the stock can scraped hard enough that it lifted the rear wheel off the ground.
That's the RC51 for ya.
I send him the pix of the RSV riders scraping their elbow and he's fuuuuuummmming!
He can't believe those are stock bikes in spite of the lights, turn signals and mirrors.
Ha! I told him to get a 'prilia!

go Prilla
Went on a big organised ride 2 weeks ago and a SP2 rider was getting a little carried away trying to keep up. Sadly he lost it on a tricky s bend. It was an up hill left hander followed by an immediate off camber right hander, sweeping immediately back left again. Bike was probably written off but fortunately he was ok. Mild shock and a sore shoulder. Lucky the bank stopped him eh. I think his pride was hurt most.

Real shame the bike was trashed but good that he was ok. Incidently...the RSV swept through the corners without greif!

Those Honda fans are completely deluded, they all believe that they're riding Colin Edward's bike.
I'm on the US Superhawk list and even educated listers want to believe that the RC51 that you get at the store is the same as the WSBK.
This year I was at Daytona with a friend that has an SP1, there was a retired racer in display. Should have seen his face when he wasn't able to find one single tiny bit on that bike that was the same as on his....nothing other than Honda logo.
