I hear citrus cleaners are bad, so what is best? What works to get tar off wheels and plastic?

I have found the easiest way is to use a damp rag and Kerosene. I do this prior to washing the
bike, thus ensureing any Kero is washed off.

Best thing to remove tar is the degreaser that c*r painters use to remove all the grease their own fingers have left behind while sanding. It doesn't harm any plastic or anything.

Trust me on this, I've been using it for years.

Believe it or not, its imaginatively called 'Panel Wipe'. Good job the makers don't also manufacture toilet paper.

Mr Sheen, It works a treat, and it takes chain lube off the back wheel rim, wd40 or castrol dwf works as well, but you may find it will "taint" the white on the stickers.
