My new link pipes arrived on Friday, but I was out all weekend and had no chance to installed them!

My problem was on the left side only (At the track) - the link pipe was becoming troublesome because it would hit the ground all the time, tri-poding the bikes and pretty much giving me zero rear tire grip... incidentally not a good thing.

The new pipes look even nicer than the originals with the right not looking TOO much different but the left looking like it's made to come up a little bit higher...

... And naturally requiring some trimming! Which is my theory onto why the original pipes worked incredible as a street system because no fairing was cut and it still felt great. But on the track there was a little too much extra.

I'm MORE than willing to slice into my fairing (It's only plastic!) to make it work. The only thing that Jorge walked me through is the cutting of the collector on the left side only because of the new design of the pipe (mating new and old). It's nothing drastic, about 3-4" it seems. Just the thought of me with Powertools, however, is frightening.

And then hopefully I will recieve BACK my Plug Wires and Ignition Amp and will install it back to back with the Airbox kit (since I have to reach the plugs anyway) and we'll see how she moves at Pocono FUSA this weekend! I can't WWWWWWAAAIT!!!!

The pipes, at the moment, sound - how you say - Like the Dogs Bollocks? Hee hee! I think they've opened up quite a bit, and have taken my clumsy abuse very well. They must have a robot version of me at the factory roaming around and bumping into things. Good testing!!! I'm very happy with them thus far!

(And hats off to Jorge for helping me out so incredibly quickly. Still continues to boggle my mind!)
