I have a 01 RSV and was going to do a few track days. I'll be removing some of the fairing 'just in case', and also wanted to remove the dash/instriments and replace them with one from a previously crashed bike. However, only the rev counter works on the 'crashed instriments' (which is all I need), but I wanted to know if the ECU and engine management will be effected as there are no readings from the dash.?? Any thoughts?

Highly unlikely I think. I dont think the instruments feed any info back to the the ECU.
Of course the other option is to replace the lot with a Scitsu electronic rev counter which will be lighter, easier to read and can be rebuilt if damaged. Theyre about 100UKP new last time I bought one.
