I'm getting a bit confused over this subject now!

If you've got a slip on Akrapovic PLEASE post

a) Has it scratched your swingarm and was that down to poor fitment by yourself

b) What modifications you've done to improve clearance

c) Any potential problems you've had with it

Lets put this rumour/fact to bed for GOOD!!!

I haven't got the slip on, but I do have the system and it certainly would have scratched/gouged the swing-arm using the stock Aprilia exhaust hanging bracket (I think the clearance was only a couple of mm). Akrapovic sell a carbon exhaust hanger bracket specifically for the RSV which lifts the exhaust higher and further out than the stock Aprilia bracket. The Akrapovic bracket costs about 65-70 pounds. Even with this, if you put the loop-bracket on the wrong way round (it is not symmetrical) you could still scratch the swing-arm. Also, with the Akrapovic bracket you need to re-locate the indicators. If you want to use the Aprilia bracket, I would suggest adding a spacer of about 1.25 to 1.5 inches to hold the can further out.
