Please could one of you top RSV blokes have a look in your handbook and tell me what the std setting are for a Y2K RSV sachs shock ? I'm just upgrading the rear of my poor saggy Falco. Cheers in advance.

This is from the 2001 owners manual, I don't know if the 2000 model is the same or not.

I have the Y2K shock fitted to the Falco and it is a little different.

Have you seen the thread on the SL1000 area called '01 Mille rear shock' , last edited on May 23?

Im using a similar damping/spring setup to that stated by Hansie and the bike handles well.

Nice one Rich. Cheers for the quick response.
I think it is different. It certainly looks different, but maybe the settings are the same ?

Does anyone have the Y2k version ?

Crmc33,

I was that busy looking at the pretty piccies that I didn't see your post.
Yes I have seen that thread and will probably start with those settings (are they FB compatable?). I just wanted to compare them to the STD settings.

The shock is different and the settings are too.
If you use Hansies settings stated as a base you wont be far wrong.
I have dropped my front yokes down to further quicken the steering but that is to compensate for the slow steering nature of the MEZ3's.

If I were to fit the y2K shock to a bike with more 'racey' rubber then Id wind the rear ride ht upto max, set the damping as stated and go from there.

I think our threads are crossing on the way to the satellite!

FB compatible? Do you mean persons of large proportions?
Depends how much of a FB they are!
