I recently had the following mail from Aprilia in response to a query about the Tuono -
"We can anticipate that next week at Intermot Exhibition we will present a new
version of Tuono 1000 that will be on sale starting from next year."
Has anybody else heard or know anything about this new bike??

What I have heard is that it will be based on the standard Mille (not Mille R).

Aprilia are clever arent they...
remove all the lower fairing off a RSV and then sell it for the same price!
Am I missing something here?

No , Aprilia is not clever at all!
They add a nice half fairing and sell it for less! They also renamed it to Falco.

www.motonline.com has "spy" photos. The pictures look pretty staged?
Anyway, looks great in red and best with the front wheel in the air! (page 3 of 4)
My wife is going to kill me when I come home with one!

Nah, the rear shock probably works.

I think it's going to get the same Showa front USD forks and Sachs shock as the Falco.
Hmmm, is this the replacement for the Falco? Rumour is that it is to be discontinued next year.

Discontinue the Falco?
Well there goes the resale value!

Apparently Tuono stood on Falco's toes in ancient Italian mythology
